I picked up Bite Beauty's Watercolor Lip Gloss Library during Sephora'a VIB sale last week.
A limited-edition range Composed of 12 soft shades inspired by the ethereal beauty of a watercolor palette; each sheer gloss provides a beautiful translucent wash of color and alluring shine.
Rich in antioxidants, nutrients, fruit extracts, and seed oils, each glossy, luminous shade is infused with hydrating properties and a sweep of color to leave lips lush and supple. In keeping with the feeling of an artist’s palette, these shades have been designed to wear alone or layer. Each shade is formulated with a specific level of pigment to ensure the collection is wearable." (Sephora.com)
Girl........... It's complicated! Here's why. The description above is correct; the glosses do provide a translucent wash of color and high shine to the lips.
So what's the problem?
After actually playing with the glosses and trying each color on my lips, I can't say that it's worth the price.
This set has gotten some pretty bad reviews on sephora.com, but most people are complaining about lack of pigmentation and the sticky texture of the glosses. Well...... they are called "watercolors" for a reason, AND they have the SAME sticky formula as the $12 mini Bite glosses that Sephora sells, so that wasn't a surprise.
However, although I wasn't surprised at the lack of opacity and "stickiness," there are WAY better glosses for this price at Sephora.
I say skip this, and get the Dior or Lancôme gloss that you've been wanting.
Availability: In stores and online at Sephora
Splurge or Skip: Skip it, girl. Lol
