Ok, ever since pictures from Chanel's Pre-Fall 2012 Collection hit the internet I've been totally Obsessed. The collection and the setting were Gorgeous! Inspired by a fusion between Indian and European fashion, this collection has a beautiful assortment of draping silhouettes and crystal embroidery, mixed with Chanel's more traditional style of tweeds and understated color palettes of ivory, metallics, and powder pinks.

Stunning headpieces and nose chains completed the looks, as well as ring-bracelet combinations. The men were also highly accessorized with turbans and embellished sashes. And the use of Faux-Dreadlocks gave an Urban edge to this Indian inspired collection.

Now let's talk about the Makeup! (lol) The looks were Bollywood inspired with really Dramatic Black smokey eyes, and Exagerrated winged-out eyeshadow. The lips and cheeks were simple, with peachy/pink shades.

To get this look use a Black Cream eyeshadow as a base, and layer a Black eyeshadow such as MAC's Carbon over top of it.  Use a really rich black eyeliner on the lower water line. The key to this look is Blending!! Just blend the eyeshadow into your desired wing shape.

The models wore Matte lips, and sheer cheek colors in peaches and pinks. The shimmery Gold nail polish added a pop of color while pulling the looks together.

This collection recieved some criticism about being overly accessorized, but I thought the accessories were beauitful. Lagerfeld chose to use silver and white metals instead of the traditional yellow gold pieces seen throughout India. Here are a few Bollywood inspired pieces that you can easily incorporate into your wardrobe.

What are your thoughts on this collection?
