Friday Favorites: Lip Moisturizers and Balms

Favorite Lip Moisturizers and Balms

When I was trying to gather things to include in this week's Favorites, I really couldn't think of anything that I used consistently this week besides Lip Products.

So this is going to be a Quick run down of my Favorite Lip Moisturizers and Balms.

Here are some of my Favorite Color-less Lip products:

Vaseline Lip Therapy, Korres Lip Butter in Guava, Nivea A Kiss of Milk and Honey

Vaseline Lip Therapy ($1.99) Listen. If you're having a serious problem with dry, chapped lips and nothing else seems to be working, try this! This is definitely one of the best Lip Moisturizers I own, and it's also one of the most inexpensive ones.  It hydrates lips for all day softeness, locks in moisture to prevent dryness, and it's supposed to progressively care for your lips. It works!

Korres Lip Butter ($12) I mentioned this product in my Black Friday Haul post last week.  I like this one a lot also. It is formulated with natural oils and extracts that help soothe and soften the lips.  I ONLY use this Guava Flavored Lip Butter at night though, because it has a thick white texture that leaves a milky finish on my lips.  I want to try the Pomegranate Flavor which is supposed to give the lips a nice reddish tint.

Nivea A Kiss of Milk and Honey Soothing Lip Care ($2.99) It contains Milk Proteins and Rich Golden Honey to help boost the lips' natural defenses.  The formula is supposed to strengthen the lips' resistance to stay well hydrated and healthy looking.  I just like this one because I find that it hydrates my lips, and the formula feels really "cushion-y" (did I just make up that word) on my lips.

Now, during the day when I want a little tint of color on my lips, but I don't want to be bothered with Heavy Lipsticks, or Runny Lip Glosses, I reach for these Tinted Lip Balms:

Maybelline Baby Lips in Grape Vine, Nivea A Kiss of Flavor Cherry Tinted Lip Care, Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Balm

Nivea A Kiss of Flavor Cherry Tinted Lip Care ($2.99) I like this one because it gives my lips a Fabulous Red Tint that lasts about 2 hours. I particularly like to use this product when I want moisture and color to my lips, but I don't want that wet glossy feel.  It has SPF 10 which protects lips from harmful UVA/UVB  rays, and it's enriched with Almond Oil to help keep lips soft and smooth.

Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Balm ($15) I did a Blog Post on this product yesterday.  It's a lip plumping balm, from the creators of Bare Escentuals. They are preservative-free, and enriched with Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, and antioxidant Vitamines C and E.  I like this balm because it's Long-Lasting and VERY moisturizing. Since using this I have noticed smoother, less cracked lips.  Click Here for a Full Review of this product with Swatches and Pics.

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Grape Vine ($2.99) I reach for this Lip Balm when I want to add color and Shine to my lips. This balm looks and feels more like a gloss than the others I've mentioned. It's formula also feels a lot lighter than the others.  The unique thing about this balm is that it contains Centella Extract which is used as a medicinal herb in parts of Asia, and helps renew and moisturize the lips. Click Here for a Full Review of this product.
