Battle of the Pink Lip Balms Vol. 2

In today's Volume of Battle of the Pink Lip Balms I'm going to compare Elf' Conditioning Lip Balm in Peaceful Pink and NYC Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm in the color Sugar Kiss.

These 2 products are the least expensive balms I own, but I probably reach for them the most because they both have good color payoff.

NYC Lip Slider and Elf Conditioning Lip Balm

Elf Conditioning Lip Balm provides a Sheer tint of color to the lips.  It goes on smooth, and velvety, and is NOT sticky.  It has Natural ingredients to condition the lips like Vitamins A & E, and it contains SPF 15 to protect the lips against sun damage.  I picked this up in the color Peaceful Pink which is a bubblegum pink color.  It goes on sheer, but it can be built up to give more intense pigmentation.

Cons: While this balm does leave a very nice pink color on my lips, I have to say that this balm is NOT moisturizing at all. If you have really dry lips, I would recommend that you pair this product with a really good lip moisturizer such as Carmex.  I also didn't particularly like that I had to dip my finger into the product to apply it.

NYC Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm is a lip moisturizer which is enriched with Castor Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, and Murumura Seed Butter.  I picked up the color Sugar Kiss which is a really sheer baby pink color, but I usually build it up so that it comes off quite Opaque.  Unlike the Elf Lip Balm, NYC's Lip Sliders are more moisturizing .  This does last a long time on my lips, but that's probably because it's so STICKY!

Cons:This product is Extremely sticky, and the packaging becomes messy after a few uses.  And I've seen posts saying that this product has been Discontinued, but I still find them in stock at my local drugstores, and I've even seen them at Dollar Tree.  They are also readily available online.

Overall: I SLIGHTLY prefer the NYC Lip Slider, over Elf's Conditioning Lip Balm simply because it's more moisturizing.  The color pay-off of the Elf Balm is better, but I really don't like that it dries out my lips.
