NEW: Black Radiance True Complexion Contour Palette

Hey y'all.

I was excited to see that Black Radiance recently released a Contour Palette.

Black Radiance True Complexion Contour Palette in  Medium to Dark

Finding a Contour Palette at the drugstore that suits my deep skin tone is rare, so I had to give it a try.

The Contour Palette features three (3) shades that are supposed to Contour, Sculpt, and Highlight facial features to create natural definition.

My Thoughts.........
The powders are nice to work with. They are decently pigmented and finely milled so that they do not apply chalky.

I really like the Contour and Highlight shades, however, the Sculpt shade does not show up on my skin tone. The Sculpt powder is meant to be used on areas like the forehead and upper cheekbones, but that doesn't work for me; it's too similar to my actual skin tone to make a difference.

Overall,
The quality of the palette is great.  Although the Sculpt shade does not show up on my skin tone, I'm still happy with this purchase and would recommend it (I picked up the palette in Medium to Dark, but it also comes in a palette with lighter shades).

Today, I used the Contour shade along the inner corners of my cheekbones, hairline, and down the sides of my nose.  I used the Highlight shade to highlight my upper cheekbones, nose, and forehead.

I also want to point out that the Highlighter in this palette is actually kind of amazing.  It adds a subtle glow to the skin without being chunky or glittery.

L'oreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss

Hey y'all.

I recently tried the NEW L'oreal Infallible Pro Matte Glosses, and I really like them!

These are the 4 shades that I picked up: (there are 10 shades in the line)

(l to r) Fuchsia Amnesia, Rebel Rose, Aphrodite Kiss, Nude Allude

These MATTE glosses have a rich velvety, whipped texture and they provide intense pigmentation.

They feel comfortable on the lips, and are not as drying as other matte formulas.  Wear time is ok.............. however, I do have to reapply after a few hours.

The "pro-sculpt" applicator has a triangular shape which makes the gloss easy to apply, and  is also supposed to aid in adding dimension to the lips.

Overall, I think these matte glosses are great!  I would definitely recommend them for those of you looking for a good drugstore option for matte liquid lippies!

Review: Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation and Airbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation in "Rich Honey" and Airbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush

Hey y'all!

I do believe that this is my first official beauty post of the New Year, and I'm back with a Foundation review!

Y'all know that Black Radiance's Soft Focus Finishing Powder is my ride or die everyday powder foundation, but since I got a few Sephora gift cards for Christmas, I decided to try something new.

I essentially chose Tarte's Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation in "Rich Honey" because after looking at several reviews and swatches online, the color looked so beautiful and spot on, that I had to have it.

And........................as if the color wasn't enough of a selling point, the formula is also exactly what I look for in a powder foundation.  Although it's marketed as full coverage, it actually provides a light to light medium coverage with an airbrushed finish.

Overall, I'm happy with this foundation on all levels........................ except the price!! It's $36, which isn't a lot for a higher end brand, but it sure is a lot more expensive than my beloved $7 Black Radiance powder!

The foundation is absolutely worth it though, so I guess I won't complain too much!

"Rich Honey" is described as being for "deeper complexions with peach undertones."  This is a loose foundation powder, but the mesh covering keeps it from ever becoming messy.

I also picked up Tarte's accompanying Airbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush. I like the brush, but I rarely use it. I generally only use this brush for touch-ups because its so small that it fits quite well into my on-the-go makeup bag.
